501 (c) 3 Approved

 

On June 30, 2015, we received exciting news that Brianna's Wings of Passion Foundation was approved by the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. In less than two short weeks from start to finish, this approval was granted. This news came on our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Thank you Lord for your loving kindness. Under the circumstances, this was the best news we've received.

At the GC Session, I received a call from a girl by the name of Sharon. As she described who she was, tears came to my eyes.  She is the daughter of the pilot-to-be, Miguel, from Bolivia that BWP is sponsoring.  Sharon stated she was on her way to the GC and wanted to come by and thank me personally. Here is the picture we took when she came by our booth. I had the privilege to relate some of our daughter's story with Sharon in the presence of her Uncle and Aunt. It was at this time I learned she was 19, the same age of Brianna. It was very touching that she came to personally thank us in behalf of her father for making her father's dreams come true..

While at the GC, I was able to connect with the Gospel Singer, Sandra Entermann whose music selection we used on Brianna's memorial slideshow.  We had been in contact with her since Brianna's death and in meeting her, I felt especially honored. She has performed for us at the Benefit Concert in memory of Brianna's birthday in May 2016.   Thank you Sandra Entermann

On January 20-21, we were blessed with a tremendous gift to the foundation:

A Cessna 182 airplane. We are truly grateful to the selfless donors, Brad and Becky Grant. It will soon be dispatched to Peru for mission aviation through our partnering

organization GMI.
