CURRENT  TESTIMONIALS
AND EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE

2026

This poem was written by a 16 year old shortly after her baptism. She is the daughter of one of our inmates. We believe you will be touched with her poetic talent.

Psalms by L. G.

Psalm #1
Oh Lord, I feel so ashamed for the things that I do,
I know that as I profess my faith it is a reflection of You.
By Your grace salvation cannot be undone,
You showed Your love for me when You sent Your Son.
On my knees I confess to You all of my sins,
Full of remorse where is it that I can begin.
It is not that I do it but the sin that dwelling in me,
Within my flesh dwelling no good that I can see.
The good that I want to do I struggle to find and fail,
I hat that the evil I want not to do does prevail.
Oh why do I do the will of Satan through the flesh,
For I know that salvation through You my soul will rest.

Psalm #2
Persecuted for things I have not done,
Reminds me of Your only begotten Son.
Not that I would dare say that I am equal to Him,
As Your creation I was born into this life with sin.
The sin I was given should not control who I am,
For it was not present when You created man.
From the beginning we have failed You by what we choose,
Still throughout the ages Your love we never lose.
You had relented man, one of Your creations,
Still You sent Your Son for our salvation.
What have we done to earn Your unconditional love,
Is there something You still see looking from above?
Time and time again You show us Your grace.
Giving us the opportunity to live in Your Heavenly place,
How can we say we deserve all that You give,
Sending Your Son to die that we may live.
Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ,
By Your grace You choose to save our lives.
I profess my faith in the Gospel of Your Son,
I believe in all the things that You have done.
He was crucified, buried, and He rose again,
To pay our debt for the wickedness of our sin.
I thank You Father for the love that You have shown,
It is far greater than anything I have ever known.

Psalm #3
LORD, I am so grateful for the grace You have shown,
So full of Your love to know You and by You be known.

Before the world You created, You knew who I'd become,
Dear Heavenly Father, I am ashamed in all I have done.

You gave me a choice in everything I choose to do,
The choices I make become a reflection of who I am in You.

You have shown me that You will not give me more than I can bear,
Making known I have a way to escape any temptation that is there.

Why Dear God, do I forsake who You are in the choices I make,
I pray for Your Grace as I fall before You, my soul Your to take.

Help me become a testimony of who You are and of Your Son,
Let me not be a failure of all the things You have done.

I long to have You be a guidance of light I need in my life,
Show me a way through the darkness of daily strife.

You and You alone through Your Son and the Holy Ghost,
Are what I need to fill my heart more than most.

Forgive me of all the wrongs that I have done,
Help me to be a disciple of Your begotten Son.

Salvation of my soul is by Your Grace what I need,
Thus on my knees these are what I do plead.

In the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior, I pray this tonight,
Through Your promise I long to forever be in Your sight.

Another inmate has sent his own psalms he has written, also poetic. We post them here for you to enjoy in 2026. May it be a blessing to you, reader.
